Lead Advisor
A successful and rapidly-growing financial services firm is seeking to add one advisor to their office in the The Villages, FL.
Position Overview:
This is a growth-oriented opportunity for an aspiring financial advisor with a baseline experience in financial planning. The successful candidate will work closely with senior advisors, gaining hands-on experience in retirement planning, client management, marketing, and practice leadership. Over time, you will take on increasing responsibilities, with the ultimate goal of becoming a senior advisor and potentially leading the firm’s advisory team.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Support and Relationship Management:
- Assist senior advisors with client consultations, preparing financial plans, and conducting reviews.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and follow-up.
Retirement Planning:
- Gain expertise in retirement financial planning, including retirement income strategies, tax planning, and asset management.
- Support clients in understanding and achieving their retirement goals.
Public Speaking and Client Acquisition:
- Participate in financial seminars, webinars, and educational events led by senior advisors.
- Develop confidence and skills in presenting financial topics to potential clients.
Marketing and Business Development:
- Assist in implementing marketing strategies, including social media, client newsletters, and community events.
- Collaborate on campaigns to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
Professional Development:
- Pursue relevant certifications and licenses Series 65/66, CFP®, insurance and annuity agent with company support.
- Participate in ongoing training and mentorship to build your expertise in retirement planning and practice operation and leadership skills.
Practice Management:
- Develop skills in managing a client portfolio, maintaining compliance, and improving client service processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred. CFP designation or willingness to obtain within the first year.
- Licensing: Series 65/66 licenses and FL 2-14 or 2-15 insurance and annuity agent license, or willingness to obtain within the first year.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in financial services, wealth management, or a related field.
- Public Speaking: Interest and enthusiasm for developing public speaking skills; previous experience is a plus, but not required.
- Marketing Skills: Basic understanding of marketing and client acquisition strategies; willingness to learn.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with financial planning software, e.g., Redtail, Right Works, or others is a plus.
